Coaching
An instructor will deliver a riding lesson, but a coach is much, much more.
While technical instruction and video analysis is available to all clients on an ad hoc basis, it is the more holistic concept of “Coaching” that makes membership of JAG Equestrian a smart choice for anyone who is serious about showjumping.
Most showjumpers book a “lesson” with an instructor when they encounter a technical problem or an issue with the horse. A good instructor will certainly help to solve that problem, but this approach is very reactive.
When you enter a ‘Coaching’ relationship at JAG Equestrian, you become proactive about your sport and everything you do will be focused on your showjumping calendar.
The technical instruction focuses on dressage, flatwork and jumping, but coaching also incorporates psychology, health and fitness, and team development. The coaching process is based on the framework put forward in the upcoming book “The 7 Principles of Showjumping Success” which is co-authored by Julieann Gaffney of JAG Equestrian.
